💎 Engage. Talk to me. Don’t treat me like I’m just there doing a job…I know I am, but if we can connect your images are going to be SO MUCH BETTER. I always capture your joy, but if you’re nice to me then we also capture mine and…MAGIC!

💎If you’re coming to a POP UP shoot with a partner, or a friend who isn’t really keen, explain to them that they need to show up for you for TEN FREAKIN MINUTES. Uninterested photo companions stick out like a sore thumb and honestly they can go in the bin.

💎Yes move. But also, don’t constantly move. It’s a still image. Give me a moment to capture some good shit.

💎 Speaking of moving. Move your hair off your face. Or change positions so that the wind is blowing it off your face. Do you, but be a little aware too.

💎Don’t have chipped or filthy nails, unless it’s black polish and it’s a vibe.

💎Be affectionate with your gang. Whoever they are. CONNECT. Touch their arm. Be close to them. Look at them. Make them laugh. Tickle them. Help each other out. Stop stitching each other up at photo shoots…like you’ve never met one another before 😐

💎Make a bit of an effort with your clothing. Like, if we’re shooting at home I’m so down for a super chilled vibe…but think of your clothes as a prop…if we’re shooting somewhere fun, don’t think you need to wear black or neutral…because visually you look out of place. Pattern clashing- YES. A fun outfit- YES. Effort- YESSSS. Ask me- I LOVE IT YES!

In saying that, also be comfy and be you!

💎Take your sunnies off…or make it a part of ‘the look’.

💎Don’t question my positioning, or angles, or skill. I mean tell me if my lens cap is still on 🤓 but trust me. Please.

💎TRY and have fun. Fake it if you have to.

💎Tag your photographer and the artist when you share your pics on socials. It’s insta etiquette.

💎Kids not doing what you want is FINE! Let them cry or run around…it’s ok. I have kids too and I was a teacher for 10+ years. Don’t stress if they aren’t cooperating, your stress makes it worse and also you don’t look good with a stress face. But, also, be prepared for this…toys, snacks, bubbles, bribes.
